The selection process consists of three major stages:

  • Written Examination: An OMR-based test comprising 100 objective-type questions covering General Knowledge, Science, Geography, History, Indian Constitution, Mental Aptitude, and Current Affairs. A negative marking of 0.25 applies for incorrect answers.
  • Physical Standard Test (PST) & Endurance Test (ET): Qualifying in nature. Candidates must meet the prescribed height, weight, and chest expansion standards, followed by a 1600m run (for men) or 400m run (for women), long jump/high jump, and shot put.
