The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh has officially issued a recruitment notification (Advt No: VIRO/VRDL/2026/346) for the position of Lab Technician on a contractual basis. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must ensure they fulfill the required educational and age qualifications prior to applying:

• Educational Qualification: B.Sc in Medical Lab Technology (MLT) OR B.Sc in any discipline along with a recognized Diploma in Medical Lab Technology (DMLT) from an institute recognized by the Central or State Government.
• Age Limit: The upper age limit is 30 years as on 15th September 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Relaxation in upper age limit is admissible for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates as per Government of India rules.

Salary Structure

Selected candidates for the Lab Technician vacancy will receive a consolidated salary of Rs. 28,000 per month plus House Rent Allowance (HRA) as applicable under institute rules.

Selection Procedure

The selection process comprises the following stages:
