A total of 10 vacancies have been announced across Level-2 (Group C) and Level-1 (Erstwhile Group D) posts.

Eligibility Criteria: Education & Scouting Qualifications
Candidates must fulfill both the educational qualification and the mandatory Scouts & Guides credentials to be considered eligible for selection.
1. Educational Qualification
- Level-2 Posts: Passed 12th (+2 Stage) or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board.
Note: The minimum 50% mark threshold is waived for SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD candidates, and candidates holding higher qualifications (Graduation/Post Graduation from UGC-recognized universities).
OR 10th Pass plus National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) / ITI approved by NCVT. - Level-1 Posts: 10th Pass OR ITI OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT (or equivalent qualification).
2. Mandatory Scouts & Guides Qualifications (For Both Level-1 & Level-2)
- Must be a President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger OR a Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section.
- Must have been an active member of a recognized Scouts Organization continuously for the last 5 years.
- Must have attended at least two National Level or All Indian Railways Level events AND two State Level events.
Age Limit and Cut-Off Date
Age limit will be calculated as of 01 January 2027.

Written Exam Scheme
- Duration: 60 Minutes
- Format: 40 Multiple Choice Objective Questions (40 Marks) + 1 Essay-Type Question (20 Marks).
- Syllabus Focus: General Knowledge, Railway Operations, and Scouting & Guiding activities/history.
- Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark will be deducted for every incorrect objective answer.
