Educational Qualifications
- Option A: Masterโs degree with minimum 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in Sociology from a recognized Indian University or an accredited foreign university AND cleared UGC NET / CSIR NET / SLET / SET.
- Candidates awarded a Ph.D. in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016 are exempted from NET/SLET/SET requirements.
- Option B: Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university/institution ranked among top 500 in the World University Rankings (QS, THE, or ARWU) at any time.

Preference will be given to candidates possessing a Ph.D. in Sociology and having 2 or more years of teaching/research experience at university or academic institutional level.
