Eligibility Criteria for NIAB Project Staff

Educational Qualification & Experience

• Senior Research Fellow (SRF):
  • MVSc. / M.Tech. / MSc. Degree in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Immunology from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in R&D in the related area.
  • Preferred experience includes cell culture, animal experiments, immuno assay (ELISA/FACS), Molecular biology, and working in BSL3 laboratory with Mycobacterium tuberculosis based research.
• Senior Project Assistant (SPA):
  • Graduate Degree in Arts / Science / Commerce or Business Management from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the actual conduct of meetings and adequate experience of supervisory work.

Age Limit (as on the last date of application)

• Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Maximum 35 years
• Senior Project Assistant (SPA): Maximum 50 years

Age relaxation will be applicable for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen categories as per Government of India rules.

Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates will receive attractive emoluments as follows:

• Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Rs. 42,000/- per month + HRA (if applicable)
• Senior Project Assistant (SPA): Consolidated monthly emoluments of Rs. 57,060/- for the 1st year, Rs. 58,770/- for the 2nd year, and Rs. 60,530/- for the 3rd year.
