Note: Teaching and training experience will not be counted. Experience of less than six months in any organization will not be considered.

Salary and Contract Period

The annual Cost to Company (CTC) for Specialist Cadre Officers is negotiable and will depend on the candidate's experience, current emoluments, and place of posting. In addition to the fixed CTC, all posts are eligible for Performance Linked Pay (ranging from 0% to 45% of Fixed Pay) and an Annual Increment Band, based on the Bank's performance rating policy.

The initial contract period for these positions is 5 years. This contract may be renewed for another 4 years at the Bank's discretion. The contract can be terminated by either party with 2 months' notice or payment/surrender of 2 months' compensation in lieu.

SBI SCO Selection Process 2026

The selection process for Specialist Cadre Officers involves the following stages:

  1. Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their educational qualifications, experience, and other eligibility parameters as decided by the Bank's shortlisting committee. Mere fulfillment of minimum criteria does not guarantee an interview call.
  2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will undergo one or more rounds of personal, telephonic, or video interviews, carrying a total of 100 marks. The qualifying marks for the interview will be decided by the Bank.
  3. CTC Negotiation: Candidates who qualify in the interview stage will have their Cost to Company (CTC) negotiated individually, either during or after the interview process.

A merit list will be prepared solely based on the scores obtained in the interview, in descending order. In case of a tie at the cut-off mark, candidates will be ranked by age in descending order.
