CERC Recruitment 2026: Job Notification Details

The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC), New Delhi, has announced a recruitment notification (Advt. No. ADMN-12012/1/2019-CERC) to fill 17 vacancies for various administrative, financial, and technical posts on a deputation basis. Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

Candidates must meet the specific educational standards and experience criteria as listed below:

• Joint Chief (Fin): MBA in Finance, Chartered Accountant (CA), or Cost Accountant (CMA) preferably with an Engineering degree.
• Deputy Chief (RA): MBA in Finance or Post Graduate degree in Law, Engineering, or Regulation.
• Assistant Secretary (FOR): Graduate degree along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management.
• Assistant Chief (Eco): Post Graduate Degree in Economics (specialization in Econometrics), Mathematics (specialization in O.R.), or Statistics.
• Assistant Chief (Engg): Graduate Degree in Engineering. Relaxation to Diploma holders in Engineering is applicable for members of the Central Power Engineering (Group 'A') Services.
• Assistant Chief (Fin): MBA in Finance, CA, or CMA, preferably with an Engineering Degree.
• Pay and Accounts Officer / Sr. Account Officer: Graduate degree, preferably in Commerce.
• Private Secretary: Graduate degree; must be computer literate and proficient in MS Office.
• Assistant: Graduate degree; computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office are preferred.

Age Limit and Deputation Rules

• Maximum Age Limit: Candidates must not exceed 56 years of age as on the closing date of application receipt.
• Deputation Tenure: Initial appointment is on a deputation basis, subject to standard terms and conditions of the Government of India rules on deputation.

Selection Process

The selection will be done strictly through administrative channels based on:

1. Shortlisting of applications forwarded through the proper channel.
2. Personal Interaction/Interview of the shortlisted candidates.
3. Verification of APARs/ACR dossiers and Vigilance Clearance.
