SHFWS Tripura Recruitment 2026 Overview

The State Health & Family Welfare Society, Tripura (SHFWS) has issued an official recruitment notification for the appointment of Counsellors, Clinical Psychologists, Psychiatric Social Workers, and Psychiatric Nurses on a contractual basis. A total of 13 vacancies are available under this recruitment drive. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

• Counsellors: Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline (such as MA Psychology). Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or Social Work with at least 2 years of work experience in mental health care delivery/counselling is accepted. Preference will be given to candidates with Master’s qualifications and practical experience.
• Clinical Psychologist / Psychiatric Social Worker / Psychiatric Nurse:
  • First or Second-class M.A./M.Sc. degree in Psychology, OR
  • First or Second-class M.A./M.S.W. degree in Medical Psychiatric Social Work, OR
  • M.Sc. in Psychiatric Nursing from an institute recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC).
  • Preference: Candidates possessing an M.Phil in Clinical Psychology, M.Phil in Psychiatric Social Work, or a Ph.D. will be given preference.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age Limit: 40 Years (as of the date of application submission).
• Age Relaxation: Relaxation up to 45 years is applicable for SC and ST candidates as per state government rules.

Selection Process

The final selection of candidates will be determined based on a two-step process:

1. Academic Performance Index (API): 90 Marks (calculated based on academic qualifications and relevant experience).
2. Walk-in Interview / Viva-voce: 10 Marks.

2. Print the application form and fill in all the details accurately in block letters.
3. Attach self-attested copies of required educational certificates, mark sheets, experience certificates, category certificates, and identity proof.
4. Enclose the filled application form and documents in an envelope clearly superscribed with the post name applied for.
5. Send the application via Speed Post, Registered Post, or deliver it in person to the address specified in the official notification so that it reaches on or before 10 September 2026.
6. Attend the Walk-in Interview scheduled on 18 September 2026 along with all original documents for verification.
