Crucial Interview Day Instructions & Guidelines

  • Reporting Time: Candidates must report to the OPSC office two hours before the scheduled commencement of their interview session. This time is crucial for document scrutiny and participation in the draw of lots.
  • Pedagogy Skill Assessment: The interview process includes a Pedagogy Skill component. Candidates must prepare to present a topic of their choice within 8 to 10 minutes before the Interview Board. A whiteboard will be provided. Additionally, as per Notice No. 1306/PSC, candidates may also be asked to conduct a demo class for a maximum of 7 to 8 minutes on the whiteboard, on a topic either chosen by them or assigned by the Board, to further assess their pedagogical abilities.
  • Interview Board Allotment: The Interview Board is allotted through a draw of lots. This process is conducted by each candidate in the presence of others. The draw for the 1st sitting is from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM, and for the 2nd sitting from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM. Candidates who fail to report before the draw closes will have their Board allotted through a draw conducted by one of the present candidates.
  • Identity-less Process: To ensure fairness and impartiality, the interview is an identity-less process. Personal particulars such as name, roll number, or any information that could reveal a candidate's identity are not disclosed to the Interview Board. Each candidate appears before the Board using a system-generated Code Number.
